What data do we collect and why?

When you subscribe to our newsletter, participate in a survey, register and/or attend an event, or contact us for information requests and/or meetings, we may ask your  permission to keep records of your data such as your name, email address, organization, position and location. We process this data to communicate with you effectively,  to improve our services and work,  to plan events and manage participation, to analyse and optimize our website’s design and user engagement. We process personal data based on your consent or our legitimate interest in sharing our work and improving our outreach and website performance.

Website Monitoring

We use Google Analytics to monitor website traffic and user behaviour in order to improve design, navigation, and engagement with our content. The data collected via cookies is aggregated and does not identify individual users. It is not linked to any personal information you may provide to us (see more about the type of data collected Google Analytics).

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device while  browsing the internet. On our website, cookies are used to collect anonymous traffic statistics and support website analytics. You can update your cookie preferences via your browser settings and choose to accept or decline cookies. Cookies do not contain personal data, such as your email address (more on Google Analytics Cookies).

AI chat assistant

Our website uses Contexto, an AI-powered chat assistant provided by Marameo Design Pty Ltd. It is called ‘Emmy’ on our website. When you use the chat, the information you submit is processed to provide answers to your questions. We use information about how the chat is used to better understand what our website visitors are interested in, whether they can find the information they need, and where we could improve our website content. Contexto does not ask for your name, email address or other contact details. However, information you provide in the chat may be recorded as part of the conversation. Conversation and session data is stored in Frankfurt, Germany, for up to 12 months, after which it is automatically deleted.
