Terms and Conditions of Use

By using this website you agree to the following Terms of Use.

1. Purpose of the Site

This website is operated by the Mixed Migration Centre (MMC) and offers access to research publications, articles, opinion pieces, data dashboards (including 4Mi data visualizations), and other resources related to mixed migration.

MMC is part of the Danish Refugee Council (DRC). While its institutional link to DRC ensures MMC’s work is grounded in operational reality, it acts as an independent source of data, research, analysis, and policy development on mixed migration for policymakers, practitioners, journalists, and the broader humanitarian sector. The position of MMC does not necessarily reflect the position of DRC, and vice versa.

Please note, we do not carry out fundraising, tenders, or recruitment through this website. These activities are conducted on the Danish Refugee Council website.

2. Intellectual Property and Use of Content

Unless otherwise stated, all content published on this website — including reports, data dashboards, visuals, and written content — is the property of the Mixed Migration Centre and, in some cases, of its listed partners.

You are welcome to:

  • View and download content for personal or professional non-commercial use;
  • Use findings and data from MMC publications or dashboards in your own work, as long as proper citation is provided.

Each MMC publication includes a recommended citation. When using content or data, please:

  • Clearly credit the source (e.g., “Mixed Migration Centre (MMC), [Year], [Title]”);
  • Acknowledge partner organizations where relevant.

You may not:

  • Reproduce, distribute, or modify any part of the content for commercial purposes;
  • Use MMC’s logos or branding without prior permission.

3. Use of 4Mi Data and Other Data Dashboards

We provide access to aggregated survey data through interactive 4Mi (and other) dashboards. Any insights drawn from these tools must be properly cited. Please do not attempt to misuse the data in any way. For details on how 4Mi data is managed, stored, and collected, please see the 4Mi FAQ and 4Mi main page.  For questions about data use, partnerships, or analysis requests, feel free to contact us at: info@mixedmigration.org

4. Newsletter and Analytics

You can subscribe to our newsletter  via this link, which is managed through Mailchimp. We only collect the information needed to help us manage your subscription   (such as your name, email, location, organisation and subscription preferences). We do not share your subscription data or use it for any other purpose.

We also use Google Analytics to collect aggregated, non-personal data to help us understand how people use our website and improve its performance. To learn more please see our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

5. External Links and Third-Party Content

Some pages on our site contain links to external websites, including:

  • Sources referenced in MMC’s publications;
  • Media coverage of MMC’s work;
  • Third-party platforms hosting relevant content.

These links are provided for sourcing and informational purposes. We don’t endorse the content or opinions on those sites and aren’t responsible for their accuracy, availability, or data protection practices.

6. About Our Content

We do our best to ensure that the information on this website is accurate, timely, and useful. However, because migration dynamics are complex and constantly evolving, we cannot guarantee that everything will always be fully up to date.

We encourage users to consult the original sources, read full publications, and get in touch with us if they have questions about specific data or findings.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The most current version will always be available on this page. Continuing to use the website means you accept any updates.
