Hui Yin Chuah, Research Officer at MMC Asia and the Pacific, is attending the Expert Group Meeting on the Asia-Pacific Migration Report 2024 as a discussant during the first session on “Overview of migration in Asia and the Pacific”.
This meeting will provide expert peer review of the draft Asia-Pacific Migration Report 2024 and ensure that the report is of high quality, relevant, and comprehensive and can effectively inform the second Asia-Pacific Regional Review of Implementation of the Global Compact for Migration, scheduled for the first half of 2025. The report aims to cover the entire ESCAP region.
The meeting is organized by ESCAP in close collaboration with the Regional United Nations Network on Migration for Asia and the Pacific. The meeting will be held in person at the United Nations Conference Center, Bangkok (UNCC) and online from 26 to 27 June 2024.
