The COVID-19 pandemic is an unprecedented crisis, affecting all regions and countries of the world including the East and Horn of Africa. The pandemic shaped the migratory landscape in the region in a multitude of ways and heightened the vulnerability of migrants along routes that were already extremely challenging. This webinar presents data collected by the Regional Data Hub around one year into the COVID-19 pandemic to examine the impact of the pandemic on five communities of high migration in Ethiopia and explore how migration dynamics from these communities were affected by it. During the webinar, key findings from this research will be shared, and the linkages between migration and health will be discussed.
