During the second quarter of 2025, MMC LAC published a new report on migrant children in South America. The report highlights the risks migrant children face both en route and at their destination, the protection strategies adopted by caregivers, the impact of migration on children’s lives and well-being, and their humanitarian needs. In addition, MMC LAC released a joint report with DRC’s ProLAC Initiative, presenting data on recent North-South return dynamics linked to the new U.S. migration policies. In the coming months, MMC LAC will finalise a report on the experiences of women migrants in transit, as well as the final report of the 4Mi Cities project in Montevideo. This upcoming 4Mi Cities report provides insights into the current state of integration in Montevideo and offers guidance to local actors on how to improve integration measures.
