The Returns to Burundi infographic by the Mixed Migration Centre explores the realities faced by Burundian returnees as they rebuild their lives. Based on insights from over 500 surveys, it highlights how, despite feeling socially secure, most returnees encounter economic hardship and limited access to essential services. 

The research reveals that 99% of returnees need support, yet less than a third receive assistance. Major challenges include housing, sustainable livelihoods, healthcare, and education costs. 

By shedding light on these critical gaps, the infographic emphasizes the urgent need for stronger and long-term support to make returns to Burundi safe, dignified, and sustainable.
