Regional mixed migration summary for September 2014 covering mixed migration events, trends and data for Djibouti, Eritrea, Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Puntland, Somalia, Somaliland and Yemen.

In September 2014, 12,768 migrants/refugees crossed into Yemen via the Red Sea (Djibouti) and the Arabian Sea (Somaliland/Puntland), a 21% increase compared with the number of migrants/refugees that reached Yemen in August 2014, and double the number of migrants/refugees that arrived in September 2013. Approximately 74% of the migrants who reached Yemen in September were of Ethiopian origin while the rest were Somali, maintaining the approximate arrival ratio between the two groups that has existed for the last 3 years.
