Italy is both a country of destination and a key transit country for people on the move intending to reach other European countries. This snapshot focuses on the migration experience of refugees and migrants from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh interviewed in Northern Italy after crossing the West Balkan route. It examines respondents’ access to migration-related information before and during the migration journey, information gaps that they faced and the role of information in their decision-making around the journey.
